Short term investors often look for capital gain and long term investors often look for dividend. But what do you do, when a firm is aggressively expanding, and both capital gain and dividend is at risk. That is basically the story of the stock exchange of Thailand, as ASEAN AEC comes close, nearly every firm is looking to invest, for future expansion. Take Grammy Entertainment, a giant Thai media conglomerate. Matichon, the Thai press for the progressive intellect, said Grammy head, Paiboon Dumrongchaitham, said for the next few years, Grammy will not look good, because it is aggressively expanding into hard broadcasting infrastructure. Paiboon said Grammy has a proven track record of content, but the ones that are getting rich off Grammy are the broadcasting infrastructure holders. So Paiboon said Grammy is in the process of investing to acquire broadcasting infrastructure, for use to tap the most from its content. Paiboon said Grammy’s content has proven popular Asia wide and its investments in infrastructure will help it expand Asia wide. (Source)
