Un-registered people living in Bangkok have sored to about 3 million, said a high ranking city of Bangkok official, Manit Techaapichoke. Bangkok officially says it has a population of about 10 million. Manit said of the 3 million people, about 1 million was foreigners. He said the number of un-rtegistered people in Bangkok, is draining the service resources of Bangkok, as being un-registered, the city could not back its budget request to the government. He said one solution was to require by law, for people who settles in Bangkok on the long term, to move their residence registration to Bangkok. He said the city of Bangkok, will discuss the matter with the Interior Ministry.
