Speaking at Thailand Ministry of Defense, Vich Cheraphat, director of Thailand’s Attorney Office technical and research division, said the office will set up a special quick prosecution office in militant infected Southern Thailand and has proposed to the Ministry of Defense, to acquire spy satellite for dedicated to Southern Thailand and also to use drones in surveillance. He said such a combination of tactic has helped the USA national security effort. He said while the budget to acquire the equipment is high, it is worth the spending, given how much damaged the militant has caused. About 5,000 people have been killed in the Southern Thailand conflict in the past 10 years and the Thai military have spent about US$7 billion in the fighting effort. (Source)
