After Abhisit insistence that 6 people killed at the Royal temple refuge, had weapons and were killed by the so called “Black Shirts, a Thai court says soldiers killed the six people at a temple during the military crackdown on anti-government protesters in Thailand’s capital three years ago. The inquest said on Tuesday that six people, mostly protesters, were killed by high-velocity bullets from soldiers who were on the city’s elevated train tracks and from the ground. Nattapat Akkahad, a brother of a slain volunteer nurse, said he was happy about the ruling and called for the army personnel responsible to be prosecuted. The findings came at a time of renewed political tension, as protest groups gathered in Bangkok this week to oppose a controversial bill that would grant amnesty to political protesters. About 90 people were killed in 2010 when the demonstrators occupied downtown Bangkok for weeks before the army crackdown. (Source)
