Thai Rath, a newspaper in Thailand, reported today the launch of what the newspaper says is the new most expensive hotel room in Phuket, called the Absolute Suite at the Cape Panwa Hotel and Resort. The suite has a large private swimming pool and a big living room with the walls being large glass windows, with a panoramic view of the Andaman sea and islands. According to Thai Rath, the cost of staying at the suit is about US$6,000 a night. Cape Panwa is long known as one of Phuket’s best hotel and resort, and it is often visited by top global celebrity from DeCaprio to Pierce Bronsnan. Cape Panwa says of the Absolute Suite: “A sprawling penthouse with awe-inspiring 360 degree views over the magnificent Andaman Sea from every angle, The Absolute Suite boasts 530 sqm of understated tropical luxury over two glass-encased floors. Featuring two bedrooms, separate living and dining rooms, a private spa facility, large solid wooden sundecks and a full-sized infinity pool, it offers the absolute holiday experience… whilst being steps away from the resort’s private palm-fringed beach and extensive facilities including 10 restaurants and bars.”
