Thailand’s education ministry plans more Thailand’s university to top global ranking, from only 2 to 3 that is currently making global ranking. The minister says a budget of about 1 billion baht would be allocated to the university. The minister also says about 11 global university has been black-listed, including universities from the Philippines and USA among other country, for being non accredited in their country. The move on the 11 university follows a global university that is not accredited opening classes in Thailand and giving out diplomas. In response, the ministry has set up a center to crack-down on fake diplomas. (Source)
