Guy Fawkes movement & what Independent Red Shirts say

About 300 to 500 demonstrators, many wearing white Guy Fawkes masks, marched peacefully through Bangkok, Thailand‘s business district Sunday to protest the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. The White Maskers, as they call themselves, claim that the government is a puppet of exiled former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. To counter the white mask, about 500 to 1,000 Red Shirts went wearing Red mask, and protested on the same day, near the white mask. The independent Red Shirts leader, Nuling, said because of the Red Shirts response, the whiter mask, mostly, active on the social network, got an extra push to come out of the social network, into the real world. Guy Fawkes, is a colorful UK figure in history, who attempted to over-throw a UK King, and planned to bomb Parliament. The white mask, are mostly the same group of people who had always been against Thaksin, who changed their character and image, to try to find a formula that works, in galvanizing protesters. Most of the anti-Thaksin protesters movement has died out over the years in Thailand. The last major push “Co-ordinated” big gathering by the anti-Thaksin groups in Thailand, was by Seh Ai, that was able to galvanize about 15,000 protesters. Some in Thailand, find it odd, that the anti-Thaksin crowd would use Guy Fawkes mask, as the anti-Thaksin force in Thailand, is mostly ultra Royalist and ultra Nationalist (Source: Nuling twitter).
