The Office of the Education Council and The Office for National Research Council have entered into an MOU, where the research council will help the education council reform Thailand’s educational system. The Minister of Education, Pongthep Thepkarnjana witnessed the signing. The general secretary of the education council, Sasitha Pichaicharnarong said in developing strategy to meet the government’s objective there is a need to be a management strategy for education development that is based on research and development. “We have entered into an MOU on policy and education strategy together with driving research and development to reach the 2006 to 2008 education strategy,” said Sasitha. Thailand is currently attempting to inject “Independent Thinking” into the Thai students learning process. The World Bank, among others are working with the Thai government (Source).
