Economist Intelligence Unit ranking sees Indonesia & Thailand top ASEAN on Democracy

In a year the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) says Democracy has stagnated globally, EIU have ranked Asia & Australia 4th with a score of 5.56 out of 10, in a group of seven globally on the development of democracy. In ASEAN, Indonesia and Thailand ranked at the top with 6.76 and 6.55 respectively. The USA and Canada took first with 8.59, Western Europe took second with 8.44, and Latin America took third with 6.36. Following Asia and Australia is Easter Europe at 5.51, Sub Sahara Africa at 4.33 and Middle East at 3.37 (Source: EIU)
